2 People From Bulawayo Sue Matanga & Kazembe After Being Assaulted By Police Officers And Soldiers On Different Occasions
2 individuals from Bulawayo are reportedly suing the government after they were assaulted by ZRP and ZNA officers, New Zimbabwe reports.
Western Chadomba is suing the Home Affairs Minister and Kazembe Kazembe, The Police Chief Godwin Matanga and Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri and Phillip Valerio Sibanda, the Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces after he was assaulted by a soldier and police officer in Bulawayo’s Njube suburb on 1 May. Chadomna is demanding $300 000 from the respondents.
Sithukani Ncube who is demanding $250 000 from the respondents is suing Matanga and Kazembe after she was assaulted by 8 police officers who dislocated her left shoulder.
This comes shortly after 2 Cowdry Park sisters were also severely assaulted by police officers after they defied lockdown restrictions.
