Manicaland is the latest province to record COVID-19 cases after 9 positive cases were confirmed on Thursday for the first time since the outbreak of the disease in Zimbabwe.
The cases were noted after a combined 55 tests were conducted (35 Rapid Diagnostic Tests and 20 polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
Other provinces have the following confirmed cases:
- Harare – 64
- Masvingo – 25
- Matabeleland South – 16
- Bulawayo – 15
- Mashonaland East – 6
- Mashonaland West – 6
- Midlands – 6
- Matabeleland North – 2
Only Mashonaland Central Province remains without confirmed cases.
As of 28 May 2020, Zimbabwe had 149 COVID-19 confirmed cases including 117 active cases, 28 recoveries and four deaths.
