ZIFA Mourns Former WhaWha Chairperson, Musa Ntonga
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has expressed condolences over the death of former WhaWha chairperson and match commissioner Musa Ntonga.
Ntonga, who was popularly known as “Madam Boss” and “Mumu”, died at her home on Thursday evening.
In a statement posted on its social media pages ZIFA said:
We are deeply saddened by the passing of administrator and former match commissioner Musa Ntonga.
Our heartfelt sympathies go to her family, friends and the football family at large.
May her dear soul rest in eternal peace.
Ntonga was the first female chairperson of a Premier Soccer League (PSL) club in Zimbabwe, leading WhaWha into the top-flight in 2015 before taking a post as a referees’ commissioner.
Her death comes just two weeks after the death of former Masvingo United owner Tanda Tavaruva, popularly known as Mdara Mhunga.
