<p>Lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa while in conversation with Trevor Ncube confirmed that the 3 MDC Alliance activists Joana Mamombe, Netsai Marowa and Cecilia Chimbiri were in police custody when they were abducted as they were arrested at a roadblock by police officers.</p>
<p>The government vehemently denied that the 3 women were in custody when they were abducted. The government through the <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/05/22/ziyambi-indirectly-confirms-zrp-is-not-investigating-the-mdc-alliance-activists-abduction-torture/">justice minister went on to insinuate it is not investigating their abduction</a> but their involvement in an illegal demo which they were part of on the day they went missing.</p>
