President Emerson Mnangagwa on Friday said his administration was doing all it can to protect Zimbabweans from the coronavirus pandemic.
He speaks when his administration has been accused of not doing enough to protect the citizenry and particularly the frontline workers who are allegedly working without adequate personal protective equipment (PPEs).
Mnangagwa’s government has also been accused of abusing funds disbursed and donated for the fight against the pandemic.
He indicated on Friday that he intends to tighten lockdown regulations as confirmed cases in the country spiked recently.
Critics, however, said he intends to make sure that the opposition protests slated for the 31st of July are blocked.
