The youth league of the ruling ZANU PF has accused Harare preacher, Shingi Munyeza of receiving ZANU PF regalia with intentions to use them in violence activities to dirt the party’s name.
Munyeza who is also an advisor to President Mnangagwa in the Presidential Advisory Council (PAC) however dismissed the reports as lies. ZANU PF posted on Twitter saying:
Mr @ShingiMunyeza we know you received from Lawrence Tembedza ×3 ninety kg sacks of @ZANUPF_Official T-shirts. Since when have you been a party member? STOP distributing our party regalia for violence. We are aware you seek to discredit & bring our party’s name to disrepute.
In response Munyeza who has of late been critical of the president Mnangagwa led administration said:
Dear @ZANU_PF_YL none of my businesses need such apparel, there is no market to sell such apparel anywhere in the world. In our church we have members of all political parties including party officials, Councillors & MPs, therefore we pursue non-partisan approach to party regalia.
The allegations are made ahead of the planned anti-government protests scheduled for this Friday which ZANU PF vowed to stop.
Meanwhile, the ZANU PF youth league has urged its members not to wear party regalia today.
