WATCH: 3000+ South African Airways Employees Apply For Voluntary Retrenchment

Over 3000 SAA employees applied for voluntary retrenchment as their country’s national flag carrier is partially grounded due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, SABC reports

According to the publication:

Most of them had to rely on R7000 a month following the pandemic outbreak and if they are retrenched some of them will get R350 000 as a retirement package while pilots will be entittled to a R2 Million retirement package.
