Not A Great Season From Khama - Kaizer Chiefs Coach
Khama Billiat’s Coach Ernst Middendorp has acknowledged that the star has been underperforming this season, the Chronicle reports. Middendorp was speaking after Wednesday’s 1-3 defeat to Bloemfontein Celtic when he said Billiat had not been performing at his very best this season but he still needed to be supported:
We know it’s not a great season from Khama, but everybody knows there’s huge potential and we can only support him and put him into the next movement and expect that he will do better
Billiat who last scored in September last year and has never scored a single goal in 19 appearances has been under fire from fans who want their star to shine. Some reporters and sports anchors have even started to mock Billiat as witnessed by Mark Gleeson the SuperSport TV commentator during the Chiefs match against Celtic’s remarks which said:
When he last scored, Khama Billiat, way back in September, when you said corona, I thought you were mispronouncing a Japanese car maker.
That’s how long since Billiat found the back of the net. A lot has happened since Khama Billiat’s last goal, that’s for sure.
Billiat who was recovering from a nagging injury sometime this year has said it is not easy as he acknowledged the pressure he was getting from his fans and his team.
