Knife Attack: Man Critically Injured By Girlfriend's Brother

A 24-year-old man was left with serious injuries after he was attacked with a kitchen by the brother of a woman he was dating.

In a statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the victim was stabbed on the chest and lower abdomen and is in a critical condition. The statement read:

A 24-year-old man is battling for his life after he was stabbed with a kitchen knife on the chest and lower abdomen during a beer drink. The man is alleged to have been having an affair with his attacker’s sister.

The suspect was arrested and the knife used in the commission of the crime was recovered.

1. Newborn baby set on fire by its own mother

Police in Beitbridge are looking for a woman who gave birth to a baby girl and placed her in a cardboard box which she set on fire.

The baby was heard crying on 13/9/20 and she sustained slight burns on the buttocks.

She was taken to Beitbridge District Hospital where she is admitted in a stable condition.

2. Four people arrested for stealing two sacks of copper

Two sacks with copper coils were recovered in a blue Honda Fit at a police checkpoint along the Norton – Murombedzi Road on 12/9/20.

4 accused persons were arrested in connection with the recovered cables which were stolen from a ZESA transformer at Chitomborwizi Farm.

3. Hit and run incident in Mpopoma Bulawayo

A 23-year-old man who was walking along an unnamed road in Mpopoma, Byo was struck by a motorist driving a red Ford on 12/9/20.

The motorist did not stop after the accident and the man sustained minor injuries on both hands.
