Kapini Finds New Club Days After Being Offloaded By Highlands Park

Legendary Goalkeeper, Tapuwa Kapini, a few short days after being told he was not in the Highlands Park Coach’s plans has found a new home after signing with Sekhukhune United. Kapini who is now preparing for life after soccer said his new club has even expressed interest in letting him secure his coaching qualifications:

As a footballer all what you want is a job so I am happy that I managed to get a job, I managed to sign with Sekhukhune. The chairman told me that he is not into football because of money, he is into football because he loves football and he has been tracking me for so long, he said they want me for a long term goal, even if I want to go for coaching clinics they will support me

Kapini who signed a 1 year contract with Sekhukhune United said he is ready to start training with his new team as they prepare for the new season which he said starts on 22 October:

The new season is starting on the 22nd of October, we hope that I will take them to the PSL like what we did with Highlands Park, I still have that mojo, the power and passion to play football.

According to The Sunday News:

Sekhukhune United came into existence when owners of the club bought the status of GladAfrica Championship club Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila who purchased Bidvest Wits’ Absa Premiership status.

His case is similar to that of Gabriel Nyoni who also signed with a new club after Maritzburg United let him go.
