Thokozani Khupe is reportedly planning to recall prominent MDC Alliance MPs including Nelson Chamisa’s Deputy Lynette Karenyi-Kore, New Zimbabwe reports. Recall letters signed by Douglas Mwonzora the MDC T’s Secretary-General have already been sent to the Speaker of Parliament according to the publication.
The publication claims it has leaked correspondence between the MCD T National Executive Committee in its possession which according to the publication states that:

Iye zvino macouncillors aya avakupa hama dzavo dzemusangano mastand imi muchivasiya varipo. (How are you in the group? I wanted to know about the issue of recalls? It is an impossible situation for a donkey to suckle a cow. Right now, the councillors are busy parcelling council land to their friends while you are doing nothing)

One official known as Zingizi confirmed that the letters were sent they were waiting for confirmation from parliament only.
The 5 MPs besides Chamisa’s VP who will fall at the hands of unbaited Khupe are:
- Mutare Central MP Innocent Gonese,
- Epworth MP Earthrage Kureva
- Marondera Central MP Caston Matewu,
- Harare senator Theresa Makone
- Binga North MP Prince Dubeko Sibanda
Khupe has so far recalled 84 MDC Alliance councillors who were elected through the MDC Alliance card and 21 legislators and has rebranded her party to MDC Alliance.
