Liverpool won 3-1 against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to maintain a perfect start to the 2020/21 English Premier League (EPL) season.
The Reds and Gunners clashed at Anfield last night with both teams having won their first two league games.
Klopp’s men got goals from the Senegalese international Sadio Mane, Robertson before the newly signed Diogo Jota sealed the three points.
Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal an early lead in the game after he scored early off a Robertson error but Mane answered within two minutes and the reigning champions were up 2-1 by halftime.
Arsenal could have equalised later in the game but Lacazette failed to convert two “clear” one-v-one chances.
This is happening when perennial title contenders, Manchester City had lost 5-2 to Brendon Rodgers’ Leicester City on Sunday.
Some soccer pundits say although it is too early to predict who will win the EPL title this season, it would not be surprising for Liverpool to retain it as they have had a perfect start.
