Baba Harare (real name Braveman Chizvino) ‘s promoter has addressed the story that the jiti singer is suing him and said there is no such lawsuit at the courts in Zimbabwe and the story was leaked to the media by the muso’s new manager in a bid to promote his new album, ZimMorning Post.
UK based promoter Charles Guvamatanga who used to be Baba Harare’s promoter spoke to the publication and said the lawsuit in which Chizvino was demanding about £43 500 from him doesn’t exist:
I’m not aware of any lawsuit and I have checked with the courts and no such papers were filed against me. We do not owe him anything
According to the publication, Guvamatanga further claimed that the fabricated story was made up by Chizvino’s new manager in a bid to promote the musician’s new album.
According to the publication:
Baba Harare claimed that he had instructed his lawyer Arshiel Mugiya to issue summons demanding that Jacaranda Media Group, Guvamatanga and Mangwiro pay him £17 500 in royalties for music sold, £25 000 for breach of contract and order in cancellation for distribution of his music.
Baba Harare who last headlined for reportedly testing positive for Coronavirus rose to stardom with his song “I don’t know the reason why” has released many songs after that.
