Zimbabwe Warriors striker Prince Dube featured for his Tanzanian club Azam FC, Monday – just a day after missing the Warriors’ international friendly against the Flames on Malawi in Blantyre.
Azam doctor claimed the forward had suffered a hamstring injury that would force him to have a week’s rest before resuming light training.
The former Highlanders striker scored a brace including a penalty in a friendly against Fountain Gate FC which they won 4-0.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Warriors and the Flames of Malawi played out a 0-0 draw in a FIFA international friendly match played in Blantyre.
The Warriors coach Zdravko “Loga” Logarusic was forced to ensemble a makeshift team after a number of players he had initially included in the team, including Prince, had pulled out.
The friendly match was meant to assess the Warriors’ readiness to play the Desert Foxes of Algeria in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match.
