Paris St Germain (PSG) has sacked Thomas Tuchel and he is set to be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino Daily Mail UK reports. Tuchel was reportedly sacked on Wednesday night after the PSG’s 4-0 win over Racing Strasbourg.
Pochettino who parted ways with Tottenham last year was not managing any club until today. Reports circulating say the former Tottenham boss has already spoken to PSG about replacing Tuchel and they are scheduled to meet today according to the publication.
Pochettino was reportedly quoted saying:
I have always said that one day it would be a pleasure to manage a big club like Paris, a dream.
I try to watch all of their games, especially in the Champions League and sometimes I speak with [Paris Saint-Germain assistant coach] Jean-Louis Gasset.
According to the publication, Tuchel before he was sacked had 4 months earlier led the Parisian outfit to the Champions League final and managed to:
