Zimbabwean football fans expressed have mixed views on social media following President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s meeting with France-based Warriors striker Tinotenda Kadewere.
According to Soccer24, Kadewere, his wife Sharon, brothers Prosper and Pardon Kadewere met President Mnangagwa at State House on Wednesday evening.
Some commentators drew a comparison of Kadewere’s State House courtesy call with Arsenal striker Ozil’s meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan which resulted in a backlash in his home country Germany. Ozil has a Turkish ancestry.

Mdu Tshuma: Misguided priorities, Tinotenda Philani Kadewere just put his career on the line, best players in the world have been discarded by clubs that promote basic human rights, this was supposed to be done after career end, dining with the chief gukurahundist, basic human rights violator is the same as swimming in a crocodile river.
