The Warriors’ manager Wellington Mpandare has taken the time to shed light on why Denver Mukamba was benched in the 2 matches played by the Warriors in Cameroon last week, the Daily News reports.
According to Mpandare, Mukamba was not featured in the first eleven, twice, because he was not feeling well:
People always speculate you know (how it is with) Zimbabwe social media, there is no issue, in fact Denver missed the game on health grounds but now he is back.
Meanwhile, Denver’s long time coach Rodwell Dlakama at different teams said people should not judge Mukamba based on his past experiences:
I don’t know why they are doing this to Denver, are they not judging him based on his history? Secondly, is there any leader even in companies who does not face criticism from the people surrounding him, some are even given nicknames but life goes on.
Last week when Mukamba was benched on both games, social media users speculated and concluded that he had been benched because he fell out with the Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic.
