A plane carrying South Africa’s first batch of COVID-19 vaccines has left India and is expected to arrive in the country on Monday. The development was announced by Sbu Ndebele, South Africa’s High Commissioner to India. Ndebele said:
The shipment left Mumbai this morning, via Dubai and will arrive at OR Tambo International Airport tomorrow morning.
It is the most safely, highly guarded commodity and I can assure that there will be no danger of it being tampered.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, says one million doses will be arriving from the Serum Institute of India.
