MDC Alliance Mourns Chief Maduna

The MDC Alliance had mourned the death of veteran traditional leader Chief Vezi Maduna Mafu who died this morning aged 86.

In their condolence message, the MDC Alliance said:

We take comfort in the knowledge that our Chief served the people well for the upliftment of their livelihoods, cultivating & sustaining harmony, peace & tolerance in his area of jurisdiction. This is what we expect of traditional leaders, the stores of our value of Unbuntu.

Meanwhile, Ibhetshu LikaZulu Secretary-General  Mbuso Fuzwayo has urged the government to declare Chief Maduna a national hero, given his history in fighting colonialism and even defending his subjects from marginalization and oppression even from the Zanu PF Administration.
