ZRP officers today had to disperse mourners who had gathered to mourn Tatenda Pasinyore who died in police custody at Mutapa Police in Gweru using teargas.
Pasinyore died on Wednesday while in police custody after he had been arrested for disorderly conduct. He had been in police custody for 3 hours when he died at a local hospital where he was rushed to when he started vomiting while in police custody.
ZRP even had to arrest 15 relatives and some mourners at the funeral according to Dube and the coffin was reportedly dumped near Mutapa Police.
This was revealed by MDC T MP Brian Dube who in a statement said:
Situation in Mtapa Area Gweru reaches another level as mourners of Tatenda Pasinyore who died in police custody run for life as police tear gas and chase them. 7 relatives arrested and coffin dumped near Mtapa Police.
