Zimbabwe Vaccinates 500 People In 3 Days

Zimbabwe has vaccinated a total of 500 frontline workers in 3 days. This was contained in the updates that were shared by the Ministry Of Health that shows that for the past 3 days since 9 March 2021 these are the statistics of the people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19:

1. 9 March 2021 – 242
2. 10 March 2021 – 140
3. 11 March 2021 – 118

The ministry did not shed light on why very few people were vaccinated for the past few days. Meanwhile, in the same update, the ministry said there were 120 hospitalised cases as at 10 March 2021. Said the ministry in the update:

As of 10 March 2021 @1500 hrs, there were 120 hospitalised cases, Assymptomatic 76, Mild to moderate 12, severe 19 and 3 in Intensive case units.

The 3 deaths were recorded in Harare (2) and in Mashonaland Central (1) according to the update that also stated that 10 of the 36 new cases were recorded in Harare too.

Zimbabwe plans to vaccinate 10 million Zimbabweans to achieve herd or population immunity according to the Minister Of Finance.
