Lessons Continue At Prince Edward High School

Classes have continued unhindered at Prince Edward High School in Harare despite 7 Form Six pupils testing positive for coronavirus recently.

Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education spokesperson Taungana Ndoro said parents with children at the school should not panic as the situation is under control. He said:

Those affected as alluded to by the headmaster of the school are in quarantine. The rest of the students are continuing with their lessons as usual

Earlier this week Prince Edward High School headmaster Dr Aggrippa Sora advised parents with children enrolled at the institution that 7 borders had tested positive for COVID-19.

Dr Sora said the school had taken advantage of the free PCR testing being availed by the Higher Life Foundation and sent its 265 boarding students for testing as a precautionary measure. He said:

Unfortunately, the first batch of results has indicated that (7) seven 6 Upper borders tested positive for COVID-19. The rest of the results are still to come in but all 265 boarders were tested with the last test done on Wednesday 24 March 2021.
