The United Democratic Alliance President (UDA) Dr Daniel SHumba has returned to active politics after what seems like a 2-year hiatus.
Shumba’s return to politics was first shared by The Children of War Veterans Association who in a tweet said:
War Veteran, former Army Intelligence officer, former Zanu pf Politibro mber, former MP for Masvingo Central & former Mnangagwa ally, Now UDA President Cde Daniel Kuzozvirava Shumba has launched a massive return to Politics promising to face the Zanu pf regime head On
FeedbackShumba who has been absent from the political arena has launched a campaign he hopes will dislodge Zanu PF from power in 2023. Shumba’s party has reshared their party manifesto which he used in 2018 titled our promise to the people.
“UDA Manifesto – OUR PROMISE TO THE PEOPLE”
1. Don’t be blindfolded or forced to second guess the Zanu PF regime’s plans. They’re an entitled lot obsessed with greed and corruption, State capture, and will brutalize citizens to achieve their goals. https://t.co/08BgC5Vur1

Shumba who is a War Veteran, a former Army Intelligence officer, a former Zanu PF Politburo member, a former MP for Masvingo Central has been vocal for the past few days about the government’s inability to reform and the delimitation exercise currently underway which he called a fraud.
Using Microblogging site Twitter, Shumba lamented the lack of political reforms and said:
Reforms must include the review and verification of the more than two million non existent additional persons created and put on the National database and the Voters Roll. Intelligence agencies are busy guaranteeing Zanu PF the result in the already rigged future Elections.
He has been calling for the government to do better and follow the constitution:
Zimbabwe is too important for us to waste each other. Brutality must Stop. Corruption must Stop. Tribalism must Stop. We demand Constitutionalism, Human Rights, Electoral reforms, Rule of Law, and uncaptured State Institutions. We need a strong unifying leadership. We need God.
He even did a thread on ethnicity and tribalism and accused President Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga of being tribalists:
A deep rooted false sense of superiority and entitlement is fast taking root in our nation. This is fact and an undeniable truth. I put it to you that, both @edmnangagwa and @CGChiwenga_ are extreme believers in tribal conquests.
All contesting tribal interests were secretly assured to succeed Mugabe, while in fact the opposite ensued. Multiple clusters of Intelligence Agencies were created and used to quell any dissension or other apitite for power. Many left the country, became poppers or died.
ED played a harmless trusted servant, carried out instructions (while simultaneously deploying cronies and causing the disappearance of others). He captured State Institutions by distracting his now frail boss. SMM, Zimasco, Gold & Diamond mines, First Banking Corp, Zuva etc.
