UK-based Zimbabwean Actor Tanya Fear Reclaims Her Full Name
United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean actress and film director Tanya Fear expressed her pride to be Zimbabwean as she reclaimed her full name Tanyaradzwa.
In a tweet, Tanyaradzwa said she was inspired by Thandie Newton reclaiming her full name.
She said she was given the name because she was born the year her grandfather died.

Actor Thandiwe Newton recently announced that she was reverting to the original spelling of her name.
Formerly known as Thandie Newton, the actor said she will reclaim the original Zulu-derived spelling of her name for use in her professional career declaring: “I’m taking back what’s mine.”
Thandiwe means “beloved” in the Zulu, Ndebele and Xhosa languages.
