BAZ Invites Applications For Broadcasting License Services
The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) through the Government Gazette of 9 April 2021 has flighted an invitation for application for Broadcasting License services.
In its invitation for application of Broadcasting License services, BAZ has stipulated that the categories of licenses are; Content Distribution, Video on demand (VOD), Webcasting, Diffusion and Open Narrowcasting (e-billboards and PVA).
BAZ has additionally stated that all other broadcasting services licences which expire in 2021 are urged to submit their applications for license renewal for considerations by the Authority. General Notice 687 of 2021 reads:
IT is hereby notified, in terms of section 10 of the Broadcasting Services Act (Chapter 12:06), the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe is inviting applications for licences to provide the classes of broadcasting services for considerations by the Authority as specified in the Schedule.
Application forms can be collected from the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe, 27, Boscobel West Drive, Highlands, Harare, or can be downloaded from the Authority’s website www.baz.co.zw
All other broadcasting service licensees whose licences expire in 2021 are urged to submit their applications for renewal of licences for considerations by the Authority.
The categories of licences are as follows –
