Zimbabwe Weather Report And Forecast: 6 - 8 May 2021

ZIMBABWE EVENING REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON THURSDAY 06 MAY 2021 VALID UNTIL SATURDAY 08 MAY 2021.

Mostly sunny conditions warm were experienced throughout the country, though cold in the morning with slight ground frost at Henderson, Mukandi, Marondera and Nyanga, with cool morning conditions to the north-west of the country (along the Zambezi Valley). Meanwhile, cool south-easterly winds are beginning to strengthen and enter Zimbabwe through Gonarezhou National Park (to the south-east of the country).

IMPACTS

• Temperature fluctuations between night and day may affect the health of vulnerable members of society such as young children, the elderly and ill persons.

• Cold weather conditions negatively impact poultry animals;

ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN

• Please ensure that vulnerable members of society are kept warm during these wintry nights.

• Poultry producers should note that broilers are sensitive to temperature variations and therefore need to be checked regularly and adjustment made.

• Farmers in frost prone areas are encouraged to have frost preventative measure in place.

• COVID is still a potential threat, stay safe, mask-up, get vaccinated #Winter Is Coming.

• Have warm clothing nearby, especially if you are outdoors.
