UPDATE On Satanism-Accused Man Linked To Lodge Murder

A Satanism-accused man who allegedly killed a commercial sex worker at Silver Sands lodge, Bulawayo in 2019 and inscribed 666 on her belly has been arrested after being on the run for years.

The suspected satanic ritual killing occurred at Silver Sands Lodge situated at number 13 Connaught Avenue between Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street and Jason Moyo Street.

The 25-year-old Wisdom Mpilwenhle Ndlovu from Nkankezi in Filabusi appeared in court, Saturday, facing a murder charge.

The court heard that a suspected hooker was found dead in a lodge in Bulawayo with a biblically known mark of the beast and a star associated with the occult, 666 inscribed on her belly with a red substance.

It is reported that the body that was under the bed was discovered by a cleaner on Monday morning after booking on a Sunday.

It is reported that the woman checked in at the lodge with a man who gave a Pumula South address as his home at around 3 AM on Sunday. Sources at the lodge said that the man she was with later paid some more money for an extra day saying his companion was still drunk.

The court further heard that on the morning of June 3, 2019, after having spent the night together, an argument ensued between the two and the man strangled the woman identified as Patience Ndlovu leading to her death.

According to the State papers as presented by Hazel Ncube, the fateful incident occurred on June 2, 2019, Ndlovu hired the services of Patience Ndlovu, now deceased, at Private Lounge in the CBD and would spend the night together at Silver Sands lodge. Said Ncube:

_While at the lodge the two had a misunderstanding which degenerated into a fight. Ndlovu strangled Patience resulting in her death. After killing her, Ndlovu stole Patience’s cellphone. He then stashed the body under a bed and fled from the scene._

Ncube added that the employee who found the deceased’s body made a report to the police and a post-moterm report showed that the death was a result of Asphyxia Strangulation.

Bulawayo magistrate, Stephen Ndlovu remanded Wisdom in custody to June 7 and advised him to apply for bail at the High Court.
