COVID-19: FBC Bank Has Closed Kwekwe Branch

FBC Bank has announced that it has temporarily closed its Kwekwe branch with effect from the 3rd of June after a COVID-19 infection was detected at the branch. Said the bank in a statement:

We advise our valued clients and stakeholders that FBC Bank Kwekwe Branch has been temporarily closed effective 03 July 2021 until further notice to allow disinfection and contact tracing following detection of a Covid-19 case at the branch. This is in line with health and safety guidelines as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Child Care and World Health Organisation (WHO)to safeguard all stakeholders.

As you may be aware, the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and a new variant are escalating exponentially globally and nationally. Stakeholders are therefore reminded to exercise due care particularly during this winter season. The Kwekwe Branch staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 is now in quarantine.

We encourage all our valued clients to minimise the handling of banknotes and make use of our electronic banking platforms such as Mobile Moola (R220#) or Mobile Moola Application, Point of Sale and Internet Banking which provide 24-hour access to FBC services. • Avoid shaking hands and any other form of physical greetings at all costs.
