ZETDC Notifies Harare Residents Of Planned Power Cuts

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), ZESA Holdings’ electricity distribution arm, has advised its customers in Harare of a power supply interruption on Wednesday 18 August 2021.

In a notice, ZETDC said the power supply interruption will be for the purpose of carrying out critical maintenance works.

Electricity will be cut off from 0600 to 1800 hours but ZETDC advised its customers to treat all circuits as LIVE during this period as power may be restored without notice.

The areas to be affected are Glenlorne, parts of Umwinsdale and New March Farm: Worpleston, Birkdale, Ashdown, Lytham, Glen Helen, Glen Lorne Drive, Jaunty, Folyjon, Gainesville, Highland Glen and Carrick Creagh.

Other areas also expected to experience a power supply interruption are parts of Greengrove, David road, St Malo road, Wilson road, Cavan lane, Chalkmead road, parts of Silverton, George avenue, Harrow road and Mutare road, Letombo pumps, ZIMDEF management, CI distributors, Doon estate, IMCO and Fort Concrete Msasa.
