The English Premier League returned to action this weekend with reigning champions Manchester City travelling to Stamford Bridge where they won 1-0 against hosts Chelsea.
The visitors got their goal from Gabriel Jesus who made a turn and shoot almost ten minutes into the second half.
The Citizens dominated the game and could have won by a greater margin if they were clinical in front of the goal.
Their neighbours, Manchester United hosted Marvelous Nakamba’s Aston Villa who collected all three points, thanks to a late Hause header.
Zimbabwean international Marvelous Nakamba was an unused substitute with Dean Smith opting for Douglas Luiz, Targett, Ramsey McGinn and Cash in the middle of the park.
Manchester United won a penalty late in the game following Hause’s handball inside his box giving them the chance to equalise.
Bruno Fernandes stepped forward ahead of newly signed Cristiano Ronaldo and his effort agonisingly went over the bar. Aston Villa moved into the seventh spot while United dropped one to the fourth.
