Itel and Tecno owners in Zimbabwe are using this app to browse news on the internet without data
Itel and Tecno owners in Zimbabwe are using the mobile app called Pindula News to read news on the internet even when they don’t have data.
The app is can be downloaded on Google Play Store on the following link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.zw.pindula.news
Pindula, which is part of Techzim, made this possible by zero-rating the app for Econet subscribers in Zimbabwe.
This has come as a relief for Zimbabweans as many had resorted to only using WhatsApp because of the difficult times in Zimbabwe.
A comment from Pindula:
Our app, which allows Zimbabweans to browse the news even when you don’t have data has been very popular with Itel owners especially.
Even though the app can be used on any Android phone including Samsungs, Gtels and Huawei smartphones, it is Itel that is most popular.
We think this is because the app is very small – just 2MB in size – and so it is ideal for people that don’t have a lot of memory for bigger apps.
Of course that it allows someone to browse the news for free is also a big plus.
Anyone that finds it difficult to download the app from the Play Store can just contact Pindula directly on WhatsApp 0772 464 000 for the app’s APK.
