from my understanding they are apologising to zanu members in general not the leaders who wanted them killed during the coup. by supporting zanu must go they seemed to have joined the oppositionand no longer zanu. now they want to lure the zanu members in their project hence the apology

ZANU PF arranged Nicodemus style with Jonathan Moyo and Zhuwawu to improve their chances of beating CCC Political Party at the Harmonised Elections. What I really want Is not to win elections at the Harmonised Elections. I just want ZANU PF to miss majority in both the House Of Assembly and the Senate so that they do not pass laws which oppress citizens. If CCC Political Party wins, to me it is a good bonus. At the moment ZANU PF has majority in both houses, the House of Assembly and the Senate, which enables it to pass such bills like PVO and Patriotic Act which are meant to disinfrenchise NGOs and citizens.
