Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 16 February 2022:
• 350 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death reported today. (7-day rolling average” for new cases rises to 190 from 160 (yesterday). 131 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from primary schools in) Masvingo (89) and Matabeleland North (42
• Vaccination Update: 4 297 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 322 792, 4 347 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 353 554 while 3 295 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 89 659.
• As of 15 February 2022, @1500hrs there were 43 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (10), Asymptomatic 15, mild to moderate 26, severe 5 and 0 in Intensive Care Units.
• 3 181 tests done today (Positivity today was 11 %)
• 103 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 2 643
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 232 213 Cases; 224 191 recoveries & 5 379 Deaths.
