Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 19 February 2022:
- 194 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 275 from 259 (yesterday). 16 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in) Masvingo (13), Mat North (2), and Manicaland (1).
- Vaccination Update: 2 758 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 334 627, 3 642 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 368 019 while 3 929 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 101 283.
- As of 18 February 2022, 1500hrs there were 48 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (6), Asymptomatic 15, mild to moderate 29, severe 3 and 1 in Intensive Care Units.
- 3 104 tests done today (Positivity today was 6%)
- 122 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 3 043
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 233 224 Cases 224 795 recoveries & 5 386 Deaths.
