The Bulawayo City Council has advised residents of an interruption to the water supply to all areas fed by the Tuli Reservoir this Wednesday.
In a public notice today, Acting Town Clerk, Sikhangele Zhou said water will be cut off from the affected areas to undertake some emergency repairs following a leak that developed within the last 24 hours. Said Zhou:
The City of Bulawayo would like to advise members of the public that there will be an interruption to the water supply to all areas fed by the Tuli Reservoir on Wednesday, 23rd February 2022.
This is due to emergency repairs that need to be effected due to a bad leak that developed within the last 24 hours.
The affected areas that are supplied by the Tuli Reservoir are Lochview, Sunninghill, Marlands, Glencoe, Riverside, Waterford, Manningdale, Willsgrove, Buenavista, Douglasdale, Lookout Masuku Barracks, Fortunes Gate, Selborne Park, Matsheumhlope, Parklands, Khumalo, Queenspark, Suburbs, Mahatshula, Woodville and Kingsdale. Residents are advised to conserve water accordingly and ensure that taps remain closed.
Bulawayo City Council wishes to apologise to its valued consumers for the inconvenience likely to be caused.
