Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 22 February 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 22 February 2022:

• 409 New Cases (All local) and 2 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 302 from 281 (yesterday). 95 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mat North (34), Masvingo (27), Manicaland (19), Mash Central (5) and Mash West (10)
• Vaccination Update: 2 801 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 340 630, 2 341 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 373 168 while 2 087 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 105 570.
• As of 21 February 2022, 1500hrs there were 56 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (9), Asymptomatic 14, mild to moderate 37, severe 4 and 1 in Intensive Care Units.
• 4 324 tests done today (Positivity today was 9%)
• 104 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 3
