Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 13 March 2022
Zimbabwe first recorded a Coronavirus case in March 2020. Since then, many people have contracted the virus. Many recovered, but some succumbed to the novel virus. Pindula News presents the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe prepared by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 13 March 2022:
• 158 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 472 from 477 (yesterday)
• Vaccination Update: 1 517 received the 1st dose today (Sunday) bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 394 336, 1 413 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 426 112 while 1 556 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 159 628.
Feedback• As of 12 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (57) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (3), Asymptomatic (7), mild to moderate (44), severe (6) and (0) in Intensive Care Units.
• 1 585 tests done today (Positivity today was 10%)
• 505 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96%, & Active cases go down 4 896
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 242 515 Cases 232 205 recoveries & 5 414 Deaths.
