The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating a robbery case that happened in Bulawayo on Tuesday in which an airtime dealer was robbed of cash, a cell phone and airtime scratch cards.
In a statement, seen by Pindula News, police said the four unknown assailants were armed with an axe. Reads the police statement:
Police in Bulawayo are investigating a robbery case which occurred in Luveve, Bulawayo on 16/03/22 at around 1800 hours, where a man (23) was robbed of US$352, ZAR600, ZWL9 000 cash, a cellphone and a black satchel containing ZWL $550 000 worth of airtime scratch cards, by four unknown suspects who were armed with an axe.
Reported cases of armed robbery have been on the rise in theb country.
