Uzi Submachine Gun-totting Robbers Pounce On Kariba Businessman's Home
Five suspected armed robbers armed with an Uzi Submachine Gun pounced on a Kariba businessman’s home at Baobab Ridge on Monday around 6.30 AM and held hostage nine occupants of the house including the businessman.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the suspects, who were also armed with an unidentified pistol stole US$16 060 cash, 5 cellphones and a Honda CRV vehicle, among other items before locking their victims inside the house. Police said in a statement:
The ZRP is investigating a robbery case that occurred at Baobab Ridge, Kariba on 28/03/22 at about 0630 hours.

They stole US$16 060 cash, 5 cellphones, a Garmin running watch, 20×20 Newbury brand cigarettes, 4x750ml bottles of whiskey and a Honda CRV vehicle and locked the complainants in the house.
