Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 30 March 2022

Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 30 March 2022:

• 140 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 141 from 155 (yesterday). 1 of the new cases reported today is from outbreaks detected in a school in Manicaland (1).
• Vaccination Update: 122 061 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 171 283, 11 806 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 519 000 while 28 773 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 336 386.
• Today we are happy to report that 122 061 people county-wide received their 1st dose bringing the cumulative doses to 5 171 283.
• As of 29 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (39) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (6), Asymptomatic (4), mild to moderate (29), severe (6) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 14 of the 39 hospitalized were vaccinated and 25 were not vaccinated.
• 3 301 tests were done today (Positivity today was (4.2%)
• 486 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go down 2 712.
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 246 182 Cases 238 030 recoveries & 5 440 Deaths.
