Recalled Hwange Central legislator Daniel Molokele (MDC Alliance), has opened a new law firm in the coal-mining town.
Molokele had promised Hwange residents during his 2018 election campaign that he will give them a voice in the justice system.
The new law firm named Molokele Law Chambers officially opened its doors on 1 April.
It is situated at the Pharmacy Building Complex opposite St Patrick’s Hospital.
Molokele’s spokesperson, Thulani Moyo, said that Molokele Law Chambers will handle criminal labour, and civil and debt collection cases. Said Moyo:
The genesis of the vision was the fulfilment of an election promise after the local community cried that they do not have a local law firm run by a bonafide Hwange resident.
We will be an all-around legal practice dealing in civil law, labour law, criminal cases, debt collection and family law.
It will also motivate and promote those locals who have ambitions to become lawyers by assisting in their endeavours.
Moyo added that the law firm will offer services to all people irrespective of their political affiliation.
Molokele, a lawyer by profession, was recalled from Parliament in February this year by the MDC-T for allegedly siding with CCC.
