The Government has released ZWL$2.68 billion for the payment of school fees for over 100 000 teachers’ children.
This was announced by Public Service Commission (PSC) secretary Jonathan Wutawunashe at a press conference on Friday.
The money will cover first term fees for 103 556 children from 52 171 teachers.
In February this year, the Government committed to pay school fees for teachers’ children.
Announcing the non-monetary benefits for teachers, the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services said, then:
Payment of school fees for up to three biological children per teaching family, with an upper limit of ZWL$20 000 per child per term, paid directly to the school.
