Honda Fit Drives Into A ZESA Transmission Tower Which Collapsed
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) has said power cuts in Granitesite, Harare are a result of a Honda Fit that drove into a transmission tower that collapsed as a result.
In a statement, seen by Pindula News, ZETDC said that the accident happened on the 20th of this month. Reads the update

NOTICE ON THE ACCIDENT THAT AFFECTED THE GRANITESIDE 132KV TRANSMISSION TOWER
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) wishes to advise its valued customers to exercise caution when approaching Boshoff road. This is due to a 133kv transmission tower that collapsed following an accident that happened when a Honda Fit AFM 9690 ran into the tower on 20th May 2022 at 23:45Hrs leading to its collapse.
