World Vision Zimbabwe has donated computers, laptops, printers and other Information and Communication Technology (ICT) accessories to seven schools in Chipinge District.
The equipment was distributed by Echo Scale DP to Ngaone, Paidamoyo, Tanganda, Chisavanye and Beacon Hill primary schools as well as Tamandai and Shekwa secondary schools.
Echo Scale DP programmes manager Tapiwa Muzerengi said the donation will ensure that pupils will continue learning during emergencies like natural disasters. Said Muzerengi:
Our project is complementing Government efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness in schools and communities.
We are working with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to strengthen the delivery of education during emergencies like disasters and ensure that pupils continue learning in any situation.
Disasters should not be a stumbling block to education and that prompted us to hand over the digital learning suites to seven schools in Chipinge District.
