Zuckerberg Announces New Privacy Features For WhatsApp

The popular messaging application, WhatsApp, is set to introduce new privacy features, the CEO and co-founder of Meta Platforms Mark Zuckerberg has announced.

In a post on Facebook this Tuesday, Zuckerberg said they want to ensure that messages are kept private and secure as face-to-face conversations. He said:

New privacy features coming to WhatsApp: exit group chats without notifying everyone, control who can see when you’re online, and prevent screenshots on view once messages.

We’ll keep building new ways to protect your messages and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face conversations.

Meta Platforms, Inc. is an American multinational technology conglomerate that owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among other products and services.

Responding to Zuckerberg’s post, Mohsin Jafar wrote: “Dear Mark Zuckerberg, can you put any such features on WhatsApp that what message should I send to my wife when I forget her birthday/anniversary or buying groceries?”

Javaid Rahi said: “Please add another feature so that no one can add anyone as a member or Admin of group on WhatsApp without his/her permission /approval. Permission should be a must. @ Mark Zuckerberg”

Priya Patel said: “Whatever you are making, it shows that you should not get caught by your girlfriend and boyfriend, you are not protecting the apps, but you are making two lovers do not see the family.”

Arif R Hossain said: “Instead of putting money to find an exit strategy, just add a simple step so that people can’t add us to a group without our prior consent. (Most of us hate being part of unnecessary groups and often consider whether it is rude to drop out of a group. The simplest way to get out of this is with a filter that will prevent strangers or anyone from adding you to an unknown group).”

Nick Claus said: “Now I’m very happy. No screenshots will be used against us, by our wives and girlfriends during an argument. Mark Zuckerberg Please also make sure they cant post motivational quotes after we break up.”

Esther Baumbach wrote: “Hi Mark, I was wondering if you could ahhh it’s fine just leave it. There’s no need. I have changed my mind. Thanks for listening.”

Solomon Buchi said: “God bless you. Do fast.”
