Bulawayo Chiefs have reached the finals of the Chibuku Super Cup after beating Black Rhinos 5-4 in a penalty shootout at Mandava Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The match went to a penalty shootout after ending 0-0 in regulation time.
Bulawayo Chiefs assistant coach Thulani Sibanda was excited by the win and told reporters that they will keep dreaming. He said:
It’s a big result for us and just being in the final is awesome. We are happy that we’ve got a chance to end the season with some silverware and we keep dreaming.
In the other semi-final match also played this Sunday, Herentals College beat FC Platinum 4-3 on penalties after the match had ended 1-1.
Walter Musona scored for FC Platinum in the 31st minute before Herentals equalised in the 89th minute through Mataranyika. The match had to be settled through the penalty lottery.
