The launch of Zimbabwe’s first satellite, ZimSat-1, has been postponed, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced.
The launch was scheduled for today.
NASA said the launch of the NG-18 rocket that carries Zimbabwe’s ZIMSAT-1 has been postponed due to a fire alarm in some parts of the building. The weather and the rocket were reported to be okay.
The launch is now scheduled for tomorrow (Monday 07 November 2022 at (12:27 PM Zimbabwean time) 5:27 a.m. EST).
The launch will air on NASA Television and the agency’s website, as well as YouTube, Twitter, and NASA’s App.
According to NASA, tomorrow’s weather is good for a satellite launch with a 75% chance. Snippet credit from NASA NG18 Prelaunch.
