Harare Water Woes To Continue

The City of Harare (CoH) has said the water supply situation is not expected to improve before the 22nd of November 2022 owing to inconsistent deliveries of water treatment chemicals.

The majority of suburbs in Harare have been getting intermittent water supplies of late, with residents going for days without the precious liquid. In a statement, the Harare City Council said:

We would like to notify residents and ratepayers that our water production remains suppressed at around 278Ml/day (78 Prince Edward and 200 Morton Jaffray) against an available capacity of 528Ml/day owing to inconsistent deliveries of locally sourced liquid aluminium sulphate and its imported granular substitute.

Chemical stock levels to date can sustain the current production until the next delivery of granular aluminium sulphate expected on November 22 this year.

As a result of this reduced level of production the water supply coverage around the City has been severely affected.

All efforts are being made to work out a sustainable solution to the problems. Residents are implored to use availed supplies conservatively.

All inconveniences are sincerely regretted.

CCC boasts a big membership in the capital, but look what they have done for the electorate which supports them. Water woes everywhere. Remember in Zimbabwe there is only one Political Party ZANU PF (the rest are NGOs) a liberation party with a unique manifesto; for the economic empowerment of every Zimbabwean Citizen. 2023 Vote ZANU PF. Vote for His Excellence Advocate Dr E. D. Mnangagwa, the Listening President.

Why do you blame C.C.C for failed service delivery by town councils ?? ukutaura zvaunoziva here or what . everything which is done by a City , Town , Rural District Council is approved by the Central government which is Ministry of Local government Rural and Urban development under July Moyo so don't blame Mayors and Town Clerks they don't have any power
