A 27-year-old Chitungwiza man who allegedly stabbed to death a man he found bedding his wife in their matrimonial home last week has appeared before a Harare magistrate.
The court heard that on November 29, Elliott Gadzikwa of Zengeza 3, Chitungwiza went through his wife’s mobile phone after suspecting her of infidelity and saw love messages from the now deceased whose name is still unknown.
Gadzikwa allegedly started texting back pretending to be his wife and went on to trap the now-deceased by luring him to his house using his wife’s mobile phone.
It is alleged that the accused person hid outside his house waiting for the now-deceased to enter his home, ZBC News reported.
The court further heard that when the now-deceased got into the house, he met the accused person’s wife, Rumbidzai Mudzipuri, and moments later Gadzikwa dashed into the house where he stabbed the now-deceased in the neck leading to his death.
