Open5 People Killed In Accident Along Harare-Bulawayo Road
Five people died on the spot and three others were injured when two vehicles they were travelling on collided head-on along the Harare-Bulawayo road around 5 PM on Monday.
In a statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said a D4D Toyota Hilux vehicle with one passenger on board collided with a Nissan Magnite vehicle that had five passengers on board resulting in the death of five people on the spot. ZRP said:
The ZRP reports a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on 19/12/22 at around 1700 hours at 379 km peg along Harare-Bulawayo Road where five people died on the spot while three others were injured.
A D4D Toyota Hilux vehicle with one passenger on board was involved in a head-on collision with a Nissan Magnite vehicle that had five passengers on board.
Police said the bodies of the injured were taken to United Bulawayo Hospital (UBH) mortuary while the injured are admitted at the same hospital.
On the same day, six (6) people were killed while seven (7) others were injured in a road traffic accident that occurred around 10 AM along Harare-Bulawayo Road.
Police said a Honda Fit vehicle with eight passengers on board collided head-on with a Toyota KZ Double cab vehicle that had three passengers on board.
